Locate the J-Link USB device that has just been added when J-Link was connected. Make sure that the J-Link software package, including the USB drivers are installed. When using those drivers, J-Link will successfully enumerate and show up as "J-Link" in the Windows Device Manager but using the J-Link with the J-Link software package and other software that relies on this package is impossible. There are no obvious drawbacks to mention.There are some third party J-Link drivers available, which cannot be used with the J-Link software. The application is free and it works straight out of the box. Zadig provides you with all the drivers you need, so you don't have to search on the Internet. You can install USB drivers with a single click. Installing additional USB drivers can be done in just a few seconds, thanks to Zadig's straightforward functionality. You can also find information about each supported driver, so there will be no guess work. It is also possible to retrieve a list of installed drivers, which can be replaced with the ones provided by Zadig. Alternatively, you can choose to install WCID or filter drivers or you can just extract the files without installing anything. Selecting a driver, on the application's compact user interface, and clicking a button is sufficient to start installing. However, if you are an Win XP user, you will need an older Zadig version. It works on Windows XP and all later editions and it supports both 32 and 64-bit versions. The application comes as a single executable file, so you don't have to go through an installation process. Instead of looking for the drivers yourself, you can just click a button and have them up and running in no time. The software can also be useful if you intend to upgrade a generic USB driver. This can help you access USB devices through WinUSB or a libusbK-based application. Zadig gives you the possibility of installing generic USB drivers on the fly.
